The Kennebunks are Painting the Town Red for romance and love all month long! Look around and you’ll see our shops, restaurants and local landmarks festively decorated in red to get you in the mood for loving the Kennebunks! All this red looks especially amazing against our backdrop of fresh blizzard-white!
All Paint the Town Red shops and restaurants are offering “red plate” specials and shops are holding “red tag” sales, and there are plenty of heart-y activities to rest, relax, romance you and yours in Vacationland!
Among the offerings:
- Kick-off Kennebunkport’s Paint the Town Red with the sixth annual Ice Bar, FROSTED! 8 to 11 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Boathouse Waterfront Hotel.
- The Brick Store Museum is showing its love for the Kennebunks by opening its doors for free for the entire month of February in its Free February program!
- Learn to make cocktail favorites at The Burleigh Bar Cart Cocktail Classes! Classes are offered from 3 to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday in February. Vodka is the feature of the Feb. 5-6 classes. $25 each.
- Join the Burleigh team for their annual Valentine’s wine tasting, Wines & Valentines, at 2 and 4 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12, at the Kennebunkport Inn. Enjoy wine pairings and snacks.
- Learn to make your own Spa Salt Scrub unique to you; class is 4 p.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at the Cape Arundel Inn!
- Special events and a Red Tag Special at The Daily Sweat yoga and barre studio!
- Learn how to prepare classic cocktails with the team of skilled bartenders at Earth. Cocktail class starts at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 19 at Hidden Pond. $75.
- Join the Earth at Hidden Pond team to learn the art of selecting the perfect cheese to complement your favorite bottle of wine. We’ll sample five local cheeses and share our tricks of the trade. 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5. $75. - Learn how to transform furniture and kitchen cabinets at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore from Milinda Zink of Half Moon Home Decor! Class starts at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 12.
